Lets Bring out the present And1 superstars

As we know,And1 is definitely one of the main motivator to all other streetball groups and teams. Like mentioned in the previous introductory post, Rafer 'Skip To My Lou' Alston has looked deeper into traditional fundamental basketball by revealing a new style of ball play. From his lay-ups, to his passes and to his dribbling abilities ,he has set the basis of streetball played today.

Streetball today, has just been gradually improving in terms of skills and overall team game play. Many talented ballers around the world have been putting a little bit of their own touch in streetball to spark up the love they attain from viewers and live crowds. Their are thousands of great ballers out their, but since we cannot acknowledge all of them, we will do our best to present to you the best that we have seen that currently shine as true streetballers.

Lets begin with Andre Poole AKA SYLK from And1, who grew up in Baltimore,MD. A very talented and also young player that has unbelievable handles and passes....here is a clip to show you what I mean...

Have Fun,

The newest member

Since this is going to be my first post on this site, I am going to try to be original and unique on this first post of mines.
I will start with a segment I call best of both worlds
MOS DEF

AND

Jamal Crawford

What do they share in common?
Well their both underrated, they never got major commercial success.
Mos def never sold well with the mainstream crowd and Jamal Crawford was never selected to be an all-star by the fans.

They both keep it real, go back to the fundamentals of there areas.....
Mos portrays complex and powerful lyrics and Jamal plays smooth clutch and shoots the Mid range which is considered a lost art in the NBA.

If Mos was to be a baller then he would be Crawford, if Jamal had flow he would be def
they both represent New York and the East coast on both the rap and nba scene.

But just to be on track of what this blog is really meant for, here I present you Crawford's sick highlights.

Play the game and love the game

Enjoy,

and now it's mos def's turn

Teaching you guys some ball

This post is to teach you guys how to improve your game
So that you can be the best you can be

I have tried to use some of these techniques during my school session when I was working on my game everyday and trust me when I say that the fade away techniques really do work
I almost forgot to mention, this is advice from one of the legends of the game, the man who perfected the fade-away

Michael Jordan

This other clip is about handles and offensive philosophy
A person like me i have handles but i dont know how to use it most effectively

I dont know how many people have had formal training in basketball
I am sure a lot of people just pick up the game and just play and never learn a lot of the fundamentals
I can now look back and say that it is bettter to learn those fundamentals becuase it will improve your street game
Even though the streetball is all about flash, true ballers understand when they see a good baller
and a good baller always has their fundamentals on lock

Last but not least, Michael Jordan teaching you how to do a cross-over
its pretty good
gives you a good start on how to do it
and we will work on this as we go along and we will try to teach you guys how to best do crossovers

Introduction to the world of streetball

Wassup everyone,
Want to welcome everyone to our blog spot, where we highlight the world of streetball. Our team has 3 dedicated ballers to present the finest streetball material on the web. We are Magic Brownie, D-WuN and Killa_K. We have been balling in the courts of Montreal, Canada over the last 12 years. Coincedentily, the same courts we battled each other in, was the same place where became the best of friends. We were brought together by the love for street-ball; the passion, the heart, the moves and most importantly the game itself.
This game has become a worldwide phenomen and is not just something thats associated with New York. Thanks mainly to AND 1, we can now see streetball being played in the streets of China and Indonesia.
In this blog, we will discuss the history of streetball, analyze the latest books (for those of you who like to read), movie reviews and just enjoy the sickest moves and dunks from the streets.

So lets get into some clips.

These clips are about one of the most influential people to game, Rafer “Skip to my Lou” Alston. He has brought the street game to the limelight and we should all thank him for this. Enough talk here are the clips

Magic Brownie found the music kind of cheesy, but the rest of us loved it
Magic brownie “you guys are all fruits”
Here it is

We all loved the second clip
Better music better moves and also shows his exploits in the NBA
Magic Brownie: “you guys are still fruits for liking the first song”

Enjoy
